EchoRank is operated by 212 Medya. We built EchoRank to help website owners understand and improve their visibility in AI-powered search engines — completely free, with no account required.
We believe privacy is a default, not a setting. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, why, and how you can control it. We do not sell personal data. We do not run advertising. We do not track users across the web.
What We Collect
1. Tool Scans (GEO Checker and future tools)
When you submit a URL for analysis, we store the following in our database:
- The URL you submitted (e.g.
https://example.com) - The score and analysis results for that URL
- Timestamp of the scan
- Tool slug (e.g.
geo-checker)
We do not collect your IP address, browser fingerprint, or any identifier that links a scan to a specific person. Scan results are shown publicly in the "Recent Scans" section as a list of URLs and scores — no personal information is displayed.
2. Contact Form
When you use the contact form at /contact, we collect:
- First name and last name
- Email address
- Your message
This information is sent directly to our team via email and is not stored in our database. We use it solely to respond to your inquiry.
3. Server Logs
Our hosting infrastructure automatically records standard web server logs (IP address, request path, timestamp, HTTP status code). These logs are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes and are not used for analytics or profiling.
4. What We Do Not Collect
- No account or user profile data (no sign-up required)
- No payment card information (handled directly by Stripe if applicable)
- No browsing history
- No device identifiers or fingerprints
- No social media profile data
Chrome Extension
The EchoRank Chrome Extension is a separate application that runs locally in your browser. Here is exactly what it does and does not do:
Permissions and why we need them

| storage | To cache analysis results locally on your device for up to 1 hour, avoiding repeated API calls. Data never leaves your device via this permission. |
| host: echorank.com | To call the EchoRank analysis API. Only the URL of the website you choose to analyze is transmitted. No user credentials or personal data are sent. |
What the extension does NOT do
- Does not read page content, form data, or passwords
- Does not track which websites you visit
- Does not execute remotely hosted code — all JavaScript is bundled locally
- Does not store any data on remote servers beyond what is described under "Tool Scans" above
- Does not share data with any third party other than echorank.com
Local cache
Analysis results are cached in chrome.storage.local with a 1-hour expiry. This data stays on your device. You can clear it at any time via Chrome's extension settings → "Clear data".
How We Use Your Data
- URL scan data — to display analysis results to you and to show anonymized recent scans as social proof on the tool page.
- Contact form data — to respond to your message. Never used for marketing without explicit consent.
- Server logs — for security monitoring and debugging only.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the service you requested.
Data Retention
- Tool scan records — retained indefinitely in anonymized form to power the "Recent Scans" feature. Because scans are not linked to any user identity, there is nothing personal to delete.
- Contact form submissions — retained in email for as long as needed to resolve your inquiry, then deleted.
- Server logs — automatically purged after 30 days.
- Extension local cache — stored on your device with a 1-hour TTL, or until you clear it manually.
Security
All data in transit is encrypted via TLS/HTTPS. Our database is hosted on a private server with restricted network access. We follow the principle of least privilege — our application only has access to the data it needs to function.
No security system is perfect. If you discover a vulnerability, please report it responsibly to [email protected].
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including access, correction, erasure, restriction, and portability of your personal data (GDPR Article 15–20; KVKK Article 11).
Because tool scans are not linked to any identifier, we cannot retrieve scans associated with a specific person. For contact form submissions, email us at [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
EchoRank is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Policy Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of EchoRank after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
